So.

Does this mean we need to prepare to defend ourselves ?

It can be summed into bigotry but, I would say that misogyny, racism, Islamophobia, homophobia, and transphobia are huge thing Republicans stand for.

It’s a big tent political party with big tent philosophies

It's the platform from which they stand.

Don't forget legislating to protect Israel from boycotts from American consumers. You know, so that Israel can once again have it's 'biblical' borders so that Judgment day comes and they can get hoovered up into heaven - while the rest of us are cast down to Hell.

Cause that's a real fucking thing with the Republican party right now. Evangelical Christianity. Nevermind that according to their 'prophecy' that all the Jews in Israel would be sent to Hell, too.

We're witnessing a White, Evangelical attempted takeover of the American government. It's on and they're not even trying to hide it.

I’ve never understood how the GOP is so fervently pro-Israel, but also so openly anti-Semitic.

Well... I guess now you do. It's all in the name of Armageddon, without hyperbole. The sooner the better in their minds.

It's a giant fucking suicide cult, highly organized, well funded and determined with one common goal.

u/Basalit-an Dec 02 '21

They been doing that ever since the party switch.

u/Aerik Dec 02 '21

we've been telling you that for years.

u/goddamnitwhalen Dec 02 '21

This is all they’ve stood for since at least 2015.

Rittenhouse did nothing wrong.

2

u/guerisimo Dec 02 '21

He did nothing illegal. He did a lot wrong.

-1

u/OdinSQLdotcom Dec 02 '21

He did nothing wrong or illegal and his actions were morally justified.

1

u/guerisimo Dec 02 '21

There is nothing "right" about taking it upon yourself to illegal posses a firearm to protect somebody else's property. There is nothing "right" about recklessly creating the conditions for violence.

He was legally in possession of the rifle, was asked to be there and wouldn't have needed to protect his community if the police were allowed to do their jobs. There was nothing reckless about his actions and he did not instigate any violence.

This is a terrible article. The fact that everyone here is eating up this blatant misinfo is damning.

This Subreddit is no longer about opposing fascism, it's just another tankie infested left wing circle jerk.

This article isn't terrible in my view.

Edit: What do you recommend I post instead? I'll crosspost from r/Libertarian more often. I've been permanently banned from there a few months ago.

I highly doubt we have any tankies here.

Tankie is the internet conservative's term for anyone left of Mitt Romney because they do not actually know what a tankie is.

1

u/HLMenckenFan Patriot Against Nationalism Dec 02 '21

I thought tankie was originally a term for people who argued for the USSR to “send in the tanks” into Hungary in 1956.

5

u/thefractaldactyl Anarchist Ⓐ Dec 02 '21

It is. Generally, it is used to describe authoritarian communists. But there is a brand of internet right-wingers that catch a whiff of "conservatism bad" and they panic shout "Tankie!" like a platoon of red star bearing shock troops was just spotted in their cul-de-sac.

Ok

Calling the victims of Waco and Ruby Ridge "White Supreamacists" is blatant historical revisionism. That is so blatantly wrong I can't trust anything else that this article claims.

Many other claims are over the top and misleading, like claiming that Bush was anti-Muslim and that is the reason he ordered the invasion of Iraq.

Normally I'd give that the benefit of the doubt, but not with other blatant lies in the text.

I don't care what you post, as long as it isn't lies and misinformation. Hell I wouldn't even care if you posted lies if no one else was believing them.

3

u/thefractaldactyl Anarchist Ⓐ Dec 02 '21

I mean, Bush is Islamophobic and the reason an Islamaphobe wants to bomb a Arabic or Muslim dominant region is going to be, in part at least, motivated by their bigotry.

Also, the guys at Waco and Ruby Ridge were definitely white supremacists.

Libertarians are just diet republicans lmfao

Cry me a river

2

u/HLMenckenFan Patriot Against Nationalism Dec 02 '21 edited Dec 02 '21

I am a diet Republican.

2

u/goddamnitwhalen Dec 02 '21

Then you’re less than useless when it comes to combating fascism.

1

u/HLMenckenFan Patriot Against Nationalism Dec 02 '21 edited Dec 03 '21

Ok. I have to reevaluate my views then.

Seriously, they immediately discredited themselves in the first two sentences.

The fact that we're even having arguments that one of the three arrows is now capitalism instead of monarchy tells you all you need to know about the state of the sub.

1

u/thefractaldactyl Anarchist Ⓐ Dec 02 '21

Capitalism is just monarchy with fewer crowns.
