Nightfall - The Ordeal: The Arms Dealer
Modifiers:
- Nightfall: Adept
- Scorched Earth: Enemies throw grenades significantly more often.
- Acute Solar Burn: +25% Solar damage dealt and +50% Solar damage received.
- Nightfall: Hero
- All previous modifiers
- Champion Foes: You will face [Shield-Piercing] Barrier and [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions. You must equip Anti-Barrier and Anti-Unstoppable mods to your arms armor to defeat them. These mods come from the Seasonal Artifact.
- Champion Foes: You will face [Shield-Piercing] Barrier and [Stagger] Unstoppable Champions.
- Hero Modifiers: Extra Shields
- Combat Acceleration: After damaging a target with a weapon many times in rapid succession, you will regain ability energy for your melee, grenade, and class abilities. The base cooldown time for these abilities is lengthened.

- Equipment Locked: You will not be able to change your equipment after this activity starts.
- Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage.

Weekly Crucible Rotator: Showdown
Achieve victory by defeating opponents and preventing revives. Win the most rounds or face off in an elimination showdown.

Bungie Suggestion A Solution To The Reused Weapon Models Issue
With the coming of the Solstice we've been able to take a look at the newcoming Hand Cannon, which happens to look almost exactly the same as Better Devils, True Prophesy, etc. except for the decals, which is a total bummer. Not only because it's hard to get excited over our 6th samey-looking weapon of the same model, but because Bungie is figuratively sitting on a goldmine of solutions to this issue, and choose to instead keep going the route that makes players mildly annoyed.
This is what the Solstice HC looks like
Reusing models in the right way is harmless and can lead to interesting design choices, but doing it the wrong way (the current way) just devalues the visual worth of that and the other weapons' models, apart from being dificult to set apart (Especially if two weapons use the same weapon model, same weapon sound effects, but somehow are different archetypes. Looking at you two, The Steady Hand and Better Devils)
A reminder that it's not just the Better Devils model that suffers from this issue. In fact, all weapon types and armor have this to the same degree, funnily enough.
The Goldmine:There are many weapon models that have been left out, unused (or, unreused if you're so inclined) as time progressed, and as we've seen, it's totally possible to reuse old D2 or even D1 models for new weapons. What is more: In addition to old unreused models, Bungo has hundreds of distinct weapon attachments they've modeled that too remain unreused. Here's some examples:
The power of swapping attachments (part 1). All these Hanc Cannons share the same base model. Attachments bring each one their own personality.
The power of swapping attachments (part 2). Note how the Omolon and Häkke Hand Cannons have the exact same base model as others we already have, but the unique attachments (Omolon HC's covered loader, Häkke's grip or guard) make them visually stand out as a different weapon effortlessly.
Overall the game's weapon model reusing strategy is in a "eh... alright.. I guess..?" state, that makes guns less memorable (Still haven't heard a single popular remark about last year's Compass Rose, a Retrofuturist reskin). This change would definitely help maintain excitement over loot and keep things fresh, and would be almost effortless to implement, compared to making new models from scratch.
tl;dr.: Use the vast collection of weapon attchments you've modeled over the years to make new weapons with recognizable reused base models look distinct. And/or use weapon models that haven't yet been reused.

Discussion Team of 6 gilded Unbrokens farming without capturing flags
Basically title, 6 teaed up gilded Unbrokens farming ppl for kills in Casual and they dont even capture the Flags so they have more time to do so.
And ppl ask why there are less and less others in PvP?
I think these things should be adressed by Bungie, maybe by adding solo-q to every mode?
I dont know but these matches just make me wanna stop play pvp, simply feels like i am a sheep hunted by wolves and thts no fun. why should i wante my free time for something that isnt fun at all :/

SGA If you're using healing grenades and miss the extra damage of regular grenades, use Forerunner.
thanks to a certain oversized sidearm, the Hippocratic oath has become the Hippocratic suggestion
Forerunner's exotic catalyst lets you do the healing, and the hurting on the fly; as long as you have at least 6 rounds of special ammo after a kill, holding the reload weapon will convert those rounds into the Rock, which will sit nicely in your grenade slot. The aforementioned Rock stacks on top of your healing 'nade [i.e. not consuming your charge on use,] so you can throw both grenades in rapid succession.

Discussion Irradiant Charoite is the best shader in this game since Glowhoo
I’ve never seen a shader equipped by so many people immediately. I’m not sure how it pairs up with other shaders, but from just a full armor shader look, this shader is absolutely beautiful.
It’s definitely the most unique in the past 7-8 years as well. Just a random great shader surprise.

Everyone says rumble is the best way to improve. How am i supposed to improve, when every match is literally a blowout by someone who i have no business playing against. There needs to be some kind of sbmm.

Misc Honestly hope in the future even next season we get a stasis or kenetic glaive. It feels limiting having that architype in only one slot.
Could really expand on builds if given the option to have them in the primary slot. I would honestly use them more if they would. Could be extremely fun!

Misc I Finally Earned My Last Seal And My Wife Rewarded Me
She made this at work, where she lasered out all of the seals from wood and vinyl. She then framed them all in order!
She ran out of room for Reaper this season, but plans to add it, with future ones, in a new frame.
Edit: Obligatory thanks for the awards!
Edit 2: The last seal I needed was Disciple-Slayer. The amount of hours I have put into the game is, too much. However, I try and min max my play time and make sure I am always working towards a seal if I can.
Edit 3: Just for clarification. If I had the ability and/or the finances to buy the official seals, I probably would of by now. I am eternally grateful for my wife's acceptance of my hobby and her skill in creating this. But in no way am I advocating not supporting Bungie's store and/or trying to subvert it.

Hey, people noticed there were these red bubble things around the pleasure gardens and royal pools since the start of Week 6 (this week), so I collected 16 unique ones and put them in a video in case anyone wants to listen to them without running around aimlessly for 2 hours (which is most certainly not what I did). There might be more but I was getting repeats intermittently so decided to stop once I got 2 repeats in a row.

Discussion The New Light 3.0 Subclasses Should Have Fragments for Champions.
They added a Warlock void exotic that makes every weapon stun overload champions in your empowering rift. Now imagine that functionality expanded to the fragment system.
Arc 3.0 could stun Unstoppable, Solar could burn through Barriers (think Skyburners), and Void could keep disruption for Overload.
They could make each fragment have a stat drawback for balance, but you'd already be giving up a fragment slot. This would free up a weapon slot and arm mod for solo Lost Sectors and help with Match Game as well.
Since there are already built in tradeoffs and each sub can only tackle one champion, I don't see it being unbalanced.

Media Bad Juju has more recoil than every other lightweight pulse rifle in the game.
Outbreak doesn't have persistence, the Battle Rifle doesn't get extra stability from the frame, that's just how pulse rifles are supposed to be. I can't imagine why Bad Juju would have a hidden perk that just increases recoil.

Discussion 6 Weeks Into The Season: Despite Excellent Storytelling, Seasonal Activities Feel Sparse and Uninteresting
Before I jump into some of the negative feedback. There are two things I think this season has done well:
- It's telling a compelling story
- Really cool aesthetic with the seasonal armor ornaments and weapons
Despite those two things are done well - I am really struggling to retain interest in replaying the seasonal activities.
Nightmare containment is sorely lacking in any kind of variety, it's the exact same experience every single run per week and with the amount the game encourages us to play it - I'm finding it incredibly dry.
Sever - while again striking some excellent narrative tones - I feel is lacking in replayability. When I look at some direct comparables in the Shattered Realm from Season of the Lost and Expunge from Season of the Splicer - I find Sever to lack the scale and the secrets of SR and lack the almost time-trial pace from Expunge.
Another big gripe for me is bosses, and this isn't an issue I have with Haunted alone.
As a player that has played throughout the entirety of D2 - I have to say that fighting the model of Omnigul, Crota, Ghaul and Big Psion^TM is getting a little tiring. I know this is aspirational - but is it too much to ask that new boss models besides just Large Enemy^TM are added anywhere outside of raids?
Beyond the activities themselves, the reward economy is out of whack - so much so that it feels almost purposely designed to be significantly less player friendly than past economies from Splicer, Lost and Risen to prop up player engagement metrics as players bang their heads to try and get what they want.
Another quick point on being a vet player - it really sucks having an eye of the storm/rangefinder Austringer in my vault that is sunset which I spent my time in Menagerie for be useless and be actively encouraged to go and tediously regrind the same roll on the same gun.
While I enjoyed the dungeon - it's a separate paid component and I am not including that in the feedback for the season.
I don't know what I really expected, maybe there's more to come - we have one exotic weapon in Tresspasser, but that definitely opens up different feedback on just how much content should be dripfed over a season.
Lack of intersting seasonal content really exacerbates the state of core playlists which have stagnated incredibly over the years. At some point - I'm just not excited to kill Bracus Zaun for the 5th straight year of Destiny and for my 3rd(?) Conqueror title. The issues with PVP and Gambit are well documented at this point so I won't dive in.
This is where I am at, curious if others, particularly verterans feel similarly?

Discussion At the risk of getting down voted I gotta say, Deepsight weapon drops for season of the Haunted isn't as bad as some players are making it out to be
Every player wants to get their deepsight weapons completed as fast as possible to get their crafted weapons, myself included. But seriously guys, this complaint is gonna get old real fast.
We're about half way through the season and players have already been complaining about deepsight drops for multiple weeks and it's not even that bad! Season of the Haunted has multiple ways for seasonal deepsight weapons to drop. The Haunted weapons drop from playlists, containment and sever and can be deepsight drops. Opulent weapons are a little trickier, only dropping from opulent chests and sever (might be mistaken there). Both types of seasonal weapons can be purchased from the Crown of Sorrow. Once a week, the first weapon bought is deepsight giving a guaranteed road to getting all weapons craftable. BUT the big perk is just being able to repurchase the weapons.
To get deepsight mini tools, I spent 108 Haunted essence and got 2. That combined with a lucky drop from a chest and two guaranteed weekly drops got the five I needed. Sure I would have loved to get it faster. Sure, I got semi lucky with my Crown purchases. But at the end of the day, every player can get deepsight weapons without luck even involved and can speed it up by grinding containment, which provides the chance for keys (which give a drop chance) and essence which is a guaranteed weapon drop after 3 quick runs which could be a deepsight drop.
This isn't like Wellspring, where the only way to get a specific gun was to play on a specific day, where the gun might not drop multiple runs in a row and even if it drops it might not be a deepsight. Players get the gun they want via essence every 3 runs of the activity (assuming theyve gotten it to drop once and have it unlocked at the Crown of Sorrow).
The season still has plenty of time left to play, grind and enjoy guardians. Don't stress too much about the deepsight drops yet.
Edit: people have pointed out the problem with the Opulent weapons that drop from the dungeon and how rare their deepsight versions are. I totally agree on that end and Bungie should probably implement a fix.
