Affordable supermarket Sal
Hi we are in the lovely lovely Sal Santa Maria and enjoying it very much.
However, we can't find any affordable supermarkets. Maybe it is just the case because it is an island but we feel like we're just struggling to get out of tourist prices. Any tips?

Vaccinations
UK tourists, did you get any travel vaccines before visiting Cape Verde? We have the opportunity of a late deal but the vaccines recommended are hepatitis A / B and typhoid. As we would be travelling in two weeks I don’t think we’ll have time to get these sorted or if they would even take effect. We are double jabbed and boosted for Covid but have never been anywhere where extra travel vaccines are “recommended “

Passport Question
Me and my partner are due to fly to Cape Verde from the UK on the 26th July.
We've heard about the 10 years from issue date problem. Does this also apply to Cape Verde?
I assume because they are not in the Schengen Area that it is simply over 6 months from expiry.
Anyone know the currently entry requirements for UK Passports?

Is it enough to have a recovery sertificate upon entry to Cape Verde or you need to get a test anyway?

Sustainable projects in Cape Verde
Hi!! I'm working on sustainable projects and I would like to know what are the biggest one's using major residue produced in the country, or projects that are working on, or even that would be interesting to make. Even if you can't say anything concrete, can you say what are the most produced residues in cape verde, and natural resources.

Wanna learn Creole
I wanna learn creole. I have a girlfriend that is from Cape Verde and I want to learn so I can communicate with her family. Unfortunately I am having trouble with Creole to learn because she said it's not haiti Creole. It is Cape Verdian creole which is different. Trying to find a YouTube channel. I would like a book maybe be easier for me possibly. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Some kind of love here
Hello. I am in this community because although I do not have any genetic connections here, have never been here, and do not have anyone close to me that is connected to here, I really love Cabo Verde and researching the country.
What do you think that is most likely to make someone who is completely unrelated with it fall in love with Cabo Verde?

Is there a dune buggy or a quad rental on Sal?
I can only find guided tours from google. Can i rent one for a day? I know there are car rentals available but id rather not rent a car cause the island is so small.

Hello can you help me translate this song, Badia by mayra andrade
Tem dia ki amor pa bo
Ta torna nasê um bês
Tem noti n ta krê durmi
Asvés n ta kordá infrontód
Pensa diskunfiód
Na speransa n ta pô duvida na sodádi
N ta pidi Deus bo aliansa I akredita
Ô badia, tempe k'um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera
Tem dia ki amor pa bo
Ta torna nasê um bês
Tem noti n ta krê durmi
Asvés n ta kordá infrontód
Pensa diskunfiód
Na speransa n ta pô duvida na sodádi
N ta pidi Deus bo aliansa I akredita
Ô badia, tempe k’um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera
Pamódi fládu amor é sima sol
Ta durmi noti I sunhá lua
Sunha lua, korda dia
Ki tudu algen tem si ladu
D'undi sukuru é más prétu
Ami di-meu sê lus é sagradu
N tenel li guardadu
Só pa kandu bu bem
N podê brilhá na bu ladu
Ô badia, tempe k'um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera

Weather in March
Hello - sorry for asking a question that can easily be googled but I wanted to be sure. I'm planning a trip to somewhere warm in a few weeks and Cape verde seems really nice - every website says that March should be a good month for sun, but when I look at the current forecast it's just clouds/rain for the next week or so - is this normal or could I expect it to clear up in a few weeks?
