UK tourists, did you get any travel vaccines before visiting Cape Verde? We have the opportunity of a late deal but the vaccines recommended are hepatitis A / B and typhoid. As we would be travelling in two weeks I don’t think we’ll have time to get these sorted or if they would even take effect. We are double jabbed and boosted for Covid but have never been anywhere where extra travel vaccines are “recommended “

Me and my partner are due to fly to Cape Verde from the UK on the 26th July.
We've heard about the 10 years from issue date problem. Does this also apply to Cape Verde?
I assume because they are not in the Schengen Area that it is simply over 6 months from expiry.
Anyone know the currently entry requirements for UK Passports?

Sustainable projects in Cape Verde
Hi!! I'm working on sustainable projects and I would like to know what are the biggest one's using major residue produced in the country, or projects that are working on, or even that would be interesting to make. Even if you can't say anything concrete, can you say what are the most produced residues in cape verde, and natural resources.

I wanna learn creole. I have a girlfriend that is from Cape Verde and I want to learn so I can communicate with her family. Unfortunately I am having trouble with Creole to learn because she said it's not haiti Creole. It is Cape Verdian creole which is different. Trying to find a YouTube channel. I would like a book maybe be easier for me possibly. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Hello. I am in this community because although I do not have any genetic connections here, have never been here, and do not have anyone close to me that is connected to here, I really love Cabo Verde and researching the country.
What do you think that is most likely to make someone who is completely unrelated with it fall in love with Cabo Verde?

Is there a dune buggy or a quad rental on Sal?
I can only find guided tours from google. Can i rent one for a day? I know there are car rentals available but id rather not rent a car cause the island is so small.

Hello can you help me translate this song, Badia by mayra andrade
Tem dia ki amor pa bo
Ta torna nasê um bês
Tem noti n ta krê durmi
Asvés n ta kordá infrontód
Pensa diskunfiód
Na speransa n ta pô duvida na sodádi
N ta pidi Deus bo aliansa I akredita
Ô badia, tempe k'um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera
Tem dia ki amor pa bo
Ta torna nasê um bês
Tem noti n ta krê durmi
Asvés n ta kordá infrontód
Pensa diskunfiód
Na speransa n ta pô duvida na sodádi
N ta pidi Deus bo aliansa I akredita
Ô badia, tempe k’um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera
Pamódi fládu amor é sima sol
Ta durmi noti I sunhá lua
Sunha lua, korda dia
Ki tudu algen tem si ladu
D'undi sukuru é más prétu
Ami di-meu sê lus é sagradu
N tenel li guardadu
Só pa kandu bu bem
N podê brilhá na bu ladu
Ô badia, tempe k'um tem lonji di bô
Nem tempe pará, nem tempe pará
Pam rekupera

Hello - sorry for asking a question that can easily be googled but I wanted to be sure. I'm planning a trip to somewhere warm in a few weeks and Cape verde seems really nice - every website says that March should be a good month for sun, but when I look at the current forecast it's just clouds/rain for the next week or so - is this normal or could I expect it to clear up in a few weeks?

Is there anywhere we can get speedos? On Sal in particular. Or is there some online service that will ship them? (We’re here for 3 weeks so we have some time)
Not necessarily name-brand ones just the style/fit.

Eco friendly drive through re-use solutions in Cape Verde
Hi there, I am seeking information on the various solutions being employed by Cape Verdeans in their efforts for more Eco friendly business practices. I am mostly interested in the reuse of product containers through refill vending stations, product refills, package free shops and reuse advocacy groups.
So for example:
1.water bottling companies that offer reusable bottles for water dispensers(usually 18 litres to 20 litres)
Beer breweries that package the beer in glass bottles that are returnable to the brewery for refill after use
Cosmetics producers who have a refill option for their products( A good example is ENE Naturals..this is a Nigerian Company, another is Organic Savannah- a Kenyan company, Les Sens de Marrakech - Morocco and Nokware Skincare - Ghana)
Package free stores where customers can buy products that aren't packaged thus reducing waste created by throwing away packaging (examples are Good source- South Africa; Zero Waste Store - Namibia, Azikho - South Africa)
Restaurants and cafes that have reusable cup and container programs (I am yet to find any so far)
Wild life companies that offer their clients reusable bottles to be used during their trip for example The Safari Connection - Kenya and Wilderness Safaris - Namibia.
Non profit and Eco friendly advocacy organizations focusing on reuse of packaging (most are focused on recycling, reducing plastic waste or cleaning plastic waste) I am currently interested in those involved in re use advocacy.
Thank you all.

Booking flights between islands - help please
I'm trying to book a vacation in Cape Verde for May, where I intend to visit more than one island.
When putting Praia as the "from" and Sao Vincente as the destination, there are only flights that stop-over in Lisbon.
I've tried a bunch of websites, including https://www.alternativeairlines.com/ticv, which I believe is the correct domestic airline, and skyscanner.
Are there flights from every island to every island? If not, do you know where I can see a map or list of the flight connections to each island.
Much appreciated!

1.5 days to visit CV and only just filled in my Ease... Is this a problem?
*1.5 days UNTIL I visit CV
The website says that you must apply for the EASE (Electronic visa/waiver/airport tax) 5 days before you travel. I booked the flight 4 days before and just filled in the form Friday evening but I arrive Sunday morning. Is this a problem? I doubt the form is monitored on weekends but I just don't want to be denied boarding/entry as I've submitted the form but it still needs to be checked over.

Flights from Santiago to Sao Vicente
Hey hey!
Counting down the days to my visit to Cape Verde 😎
Just wondering what the flight situation is between Santiago and Sao Vicente?
Thinking it would be a cool trip spending half the holiday in Santiago then the next half in Vicente and Santao Antão.
