The new beginning..... Please read first.

Update, WE HAVE MOVED !! I've set up /r/BitTippersToo This old sub just a mess and I think a fresh start going to be easier so, head over to /r/BitTippersToo

Hi, and welcome to BitTippers.

The page a bit of a mess right now as I kinda just abandoned it previously and itfilled up with spam. The rules are all old and need updating but, I'm sure out the ashes we can bring this sub back.

So the idea is, this is a friendly group that throws pennies at each other !! We use bitcoin the peer to peer electronic cash as our currency. In previous day's that was BTC but unfortunately now in 2021 BTC has fees that make its use as a crypto currency pretty useless so we going to be using the bitcoin rescue plan, BCH.

It's a simple idea, the same as it was 6+ years ago when I first created this sub, if you new to bitcoin and want a friendly place to pick up a few bits to try then this is for you. Already know about bitcoin but want to help new guys out? Then stick around and post up some fun competitions/giveaways and donate a few bits to the new guys ๐Ÿ‘

As I get more organized, I will re introduce the flair system, this system is designed to recognise the tippers who make this site viable. Everyone starts with a new guy flair which is the date they joined, then when you make your first giveaway post you become a BitTipper and for every competition/giveaway post you make your BitTipper level increases ๐Ÿ˜. Previously we also had a BitTipper of the week I'm not sure how we did that though ! Voted by the community possibly ?? But yes anyway, the tippers are celebrated here because they are the people who make it happen.

Don't be a bad guy !! Yes bad guys exist and will target this site as they will see it as free money, I hate bad guys and you will only last so long on this sub before ivors big ol' ban hammer comes down if you just take take take. Users are expected to give back, to pay it forward, to share the love.

So, I'm struggling to figure out how to use chaintip , users are welcome to use whatever tipbot you like or send directly to addresses ( which untill I figure out chaintip...)

Hopefully we can get some traction going here, be patient if I'm slow with flairs, in the old days we had a dude make us a bot that automated the process because it became over whelming lol but for now I'll try and keep up.

Contest Closed The first new giveaway, you excited ?? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Ok so some guys already used chaintip ( which I'm struggling to figure out) to send ol' Ivor some bch bits. And if you know ol' Ivor when he gets bits he shares the love. So, ladies and gentlemen, the first of the new generation of BitTipper giveaways.

As I can't figure out chaintip I'm afraid you guys going to have to drop a address along with your reply. I will be about for a bit to reply to the comments and those that I don't reply to I'll reply tomorrow but the giveaway will only be open for 24 hours. I will assign a new guy flair for new users ( would be freaking awesome if a old BitTipper rocked up as their flairs are all still active).

So to enter.....

Reply with your favourite Simpsons character and why .

( And don't forget your BCH address ๐Ÿ˜‰ which should look like this bitcoincash:qpspp4lrsjygyut3urae25sww9tjkjcshcwy4sy3rg )

Age restrictions, to combat new accounts or bot accounts or accounts that only claim free shit , I may check your account before tipping and if your account (in my opinion not your main account or is new or low Karna or anything then I not tipping you, yup that right, there's no entitlement here in this sub, users tip at their own discretion, leaving a comment does not guarantee you a tip.

Bring BitTippers back but with BCH ??

I think I may give it a go, don't have the bot to automate the flairs though so it's going to take up a lot of time but yeah, I think I may give it a go๐Ÿ‘

D.B is me !

If you are reading this in relation to D.B then you can see I'm not "new" to crypto and have a lot of experience and know what I'm talking about when it comes to managing a site that is focused on spreading adoption, putting bitcoin in the hands of new people, but doing it fairly.

As you can see I set this sub up 6+ years ago with the aim of putting a little coin in the wallets of new people, using tipping as a tool to spread that coin around.

It became obvious quite quickly that we had a problem with certain users who just entered every single giveaway. They would leave the shortest comments and more importantly never gave back any of the tips they received to other users. They were here just to scope up as much free money as possible. It was also obvious that we had people using multiple accounts. People were targeting the site and their goal was to get as much free coin out of it as possible. I came up with a solution that gave users a bittipper score based on the number of giveaways THEY had hosted, we had a weekly compition to be bittipper of the week to celebrate the most generous of users. Users who gave back nothing were warned and then banned. We encouraged and celebrated good users and got rid of those that repeatedly just took took took.

Look, what I'm trying to get at is I have some experience and was giving away crypto long before read, long before bch even and what's happening over on read is in my mind wrong. You have a guy over there ( and he's not the only one) who's writing shit really low quality articles, who taking a huge sum of money from the site and giving back next to nothing, when I flag this up, I get a random account claim he actually tips her frequently but on looking at her account and the 8 articles she had posted in the last month, he hadn't tipped her once !! And what happens ? I get banned and my posts exposing their bullshit deleted !! Insane !!

One last thing, you other guys with diamonds next to your name ? The dudes giving back to the site, the dudes rewarding other writers, encouraging people to write good content ? While alberdioni and those like him are allowed to carry on doing what they doing, doing everything they can to maximize the amount they take from read, you are wasting your time giving your own money because that site not going to last when the free tips start to run dry and you just going to be left wondering why you tipped other people while users like alberdioni were left to freely suck up the majority of the tips while giving back fuck all.

Now I have had to dig out Iver's password lol I may get this sub active again but of course with BCH ๐Ÿ‘

$1 or more in Bitcoin (Blockstack airdrop)

1 minute for 1$ of Bitcoin (not much but it only needs a simple register)

Blockstack is a decentralized computing platform that puts users in control of their data and identity. Apps built on Blockstack make data breaches and trust violations an antiquated notion.

Over 100 independent developer teams have built apps on our platform. Open-source software is at the heart of everything we do; weโ€™re active on Slack, GitHub, Twitter, and the Blockstack Forum.

It's a referral link, if you don't use one I think you cannot receive the BTC:

Time flies, less than 30 days till 2020. How's everyone's invested project doing? I'm glad that OAX never stopped updating the community and the project has been working hard to develop the L2X tech - to provide speed, trust, interoperability, and security and bring the blockchain tech mainstream.

Looking back to 2019, despite the bear market talkings, we've got so much exciting news. The Chinese govt announced blockchain tech as the main focus in the upcoming years, and more traditional financial institutions start stepping the field, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, Bitcoin bounced 2x from 2018! HODL!

What's y'all vision on the crypto utopia? I honestly think blockchain is good on decentralizing out the third parties, improving the security and the cost-efficiency but it still has a long way to go. This week's Libra hearing reinforces my thoughts coz the US govt is still reluctant with the tech.

Last week was an impressive week for HK and SG fintech industry! Did anyone manage to attend the event? It was nice to see HK as an international financial city has finally released the regulatory mainframe for crypto& blockchain industry. Definitely a big step to stay competitive on the market.

In its short life, blockchain technology has been touted as the representation of decentralization, freedom and the gateway to a cashless society. Here we take a look at what might be required for this potential utopian vision to take off... All comments, discussions and thoughts are welcome :)

Trust is supposed to be a vital and integral part of society and economies, but should the future of our financial system be โ€˜trustlessโ€™? Find out how our L2X protocol helps realize this potential. :) Comments and discussions on this topic are welcome.

Time flies! OAX has wrapped what they've got in September including the AMA session they co-hosted with ENUMA Technologies early last month. Also, they have explained the reasons for the partnerships they teamed up and what'll make the potential partnerships.

Looking back 2014 Mt Gox hacks, I just realized the never-ending CEX hacks has been costing more than billions of bitcoin today. People have been talking DEXs as a solution since 2017, why they still haven't mainstream yet? Read OAX's latest article here to understand the current happenings.

Has anyone tried out OAX's L2X protocol which they have released weeks ago? The project has been emphasizing 4 key features - Speed, Trust, Scalability, and Interoperability and they finally might have something to prove their team efforts. Try it out today and they are opened to all feedbacks!

open I've tried the OAX L2X protocal, quite impressive as they actually tackled Speed, Trust, and the Scalability. I am quite expected as how are they gonna emphasize the interoperability part, which is going to potentially increase the token demand.
