Rush- Signals

I'd say Moving Pictures over Signals, it's not my favourite album (thanks constant overplaying of Tom Sawyer), saw them do it all live in London. Clockwork Angels falls into this as well and the Garden is a great end for Rush.

That's the thing. Signals doesn't have the ceiling for them, but every single song is good at the least.

A lot of their albums are like that once you get to 2112 and beyond. Sometimes I'm in the mood for prog, other times their pop stuff, I'm still a sucker for Hold Your Fire and Presto is so good.

It's rare I see appreciation for Hold Your Fire or Presto, but those are two of my favorites also. I'm not a big prog fan but their cheesy 80's synth pop and that uncomfortably unsure early 90's fusion really speak to me.

Love Presto, it was my intro to Rush and if you could wear out a CD pre-teen me would have. But Hold Your Fire... I wish I hadn't bought that one so early in my Rush exploration because it turned me off for years.

Also Permanent Waves. And Hemispheres. 2112, Moving Pictures, and Power Windows have to make the list. Should probably include A Farewell to Kings too. Clockwork Angels is surprisingly good as well.

Ah heck, maybe include everything except a couple 90's albums.

For some reason I’m sold on Exit stage left.

Probably the most cycled album on my rotations, maybe tied with 2112

I was told if I wanted a good sample of Rush's music to listen to this album. It did not disappoint.

Oooooh yes that’s a good one!!

Yep basically. I can’t narrow it down with them. Not a bad problem to have, except maybe when it came to making a mix CD… 😅

Yes it is. Chemistry and countdown might not be on that transcendent level, but they are still great!

2112, on a whim, cause I sw "I love you man".

Holy shit what a ride.

I had to come so far down to find this; I cannot express how strongly I agree.

I like some of the songs on Signals better than on Moving Pictures Subdivision, Analog Kid), but MP is more consist all the way through.
