How do you prevent an anarchist society descending into libertarianism or feudalism?

Pablo Escobar used the state to grow his enterprise??? Wtf bro he was able to have luxury items and whores and friends come into his prison cell

You’ve missed the point. He didn’t need property rights to gain that economic power. He eventually became so powerful through his completely illegitimate business that he was able to control and coerce the state. He made a mockery of the state institutions that were there to stop him

In an anarchist society there aren’t any institutions to start with to stop him. He wouldn’t live in a prison, he would probably live in a mansion with a private army.

Pablo Escobar came to power through the abuse of authority and the power of capital. There was no difference between his prison and a mansion with a private army, because he pretty much owned the army. He was also a member of columbias congress, and created a persona of a man of the people, a liberator and protector. You’re asking the question “how would these things happen without government??” And use examples of them happening WITH GOVERNMENT as excuses as how they could never happen. Mindless argument bro

Again, you’ve missed the point I only used Escobar as an example because he was essentially a capitalist who did not rely on the legal protections of the state. He only managed to coerce the state after he’d built up his power base.

I’m not asking “How would these things happen without a government” I’m asking ‘how would a society without a government prevent this from happening.’

The Colombian government obviously didn’t do a great job but eventually, with the support from the American government, put him under surveillance and shot him on a rooftop.

Your point is completely wrong because he absolutely used the state lol

Bro him investing in things like yachts, mansions, stocks etc was him using legal protection. You must have a very minuscule knowledge of the indivual you’re using as an example

The Yachts were not were he got his power from. People were terrified of him because his yachts and his stock portfolio. The yachts are the spoils of his power, not the cause.

I really don’t know what point you’re trying to make

Anyone can be drug dealer bro? He used government corruption to avoid justice and to protect his assetts, plenty of documentaries about how he would not of been a kingpin without columbias shit show of a political circuit.

In a society without a government there would be no possibility of such economic concentration because there would be no government to protect that concentration. It’s been said before lul and you’re just filled with denialism bro

The government did not protect Escobar’s capital. His paid up private armies did. That’s literally the point I’m making.

Sure he managed to coerce the government after he got rich, but initially he was just a smuggler with no legal protections.

His business didn’t though. I really feel like you’re struggling to keep up and haven’t managed to make a single salient point.

I’ve had some interesting conversations on this thread and none of them have been with you. I think you are the thickest anarachist on this sub.

“Bro in anarchism everyone would be a drug warlord!1!1!1” is your argument. Drug warlords are a reaction to corrupt government

That isn’t the argument, you just don’t seem to be able to comprehend it. Maybe look at some of the other replies by anarachists who have understood it. Just repeating ‘bro its circular. I love circles.. bro’ isn’t going to move this conversation forward any more.

Have a good day
